Dear Mama Laura and all our playmates at Purrinlot,

Thought we would drop a line home and let you all know how it was going for Ashley and me (Ben) at our home in Missouri. Ashley is a quiet gal so I will do most of the meowing and she can have a little say at the end of our letter. :-)

I hope all is well in Purrinlot. Ashley and I live in a big ol' house. It looks like Elvis' Graceland. It has two staircases and boy do I love running up and down those things! My Papa Doug gets upset with me for begging and begging for him to come down stairs to play when he is trying to sleep. He sometimes puts me out of his room on the front stair landing so he can get some sleep, but I fool him! :-) I run right down the stairs..through the kitchen..and up the back staircase to his bedroom again...HEE-HEE-HEE :-) I love it sooooooo much when my people chase me. I bate 'em! I love to play chase. Every night we race around the house. I heard Mama Carole talking to my Papa Doug and she says she thinks I'm a colt not a kitty. Isn't that funny :-) I give 'em their exercise that is for sure! I love to run like the wind and then jump up into the beautiful white baby grand. I look pretty cool with my cream and white coat sitting there in that white baby grand.... if I do say so myself. :-)

Christmas was soooooo much fun. Ashley and I just love the tissue. Right when Mama Carole would get it in a box for a gift we jump right in. And, oh, sticky bows are sooooo cool. I would pull them off and run and drop them at Mama Carole's feet like a mousy prize. She would go put it back on the gift and we would play the game all over again. It is also fun to make a big pile of them all in front of the presents they were taken off of. Christmas is delightful fun, meow, meow, meow!. Can't wait for the next one! We have our humans trained so well.

We have been totally spoiled here with cat trees with cradles to sleep in, and lots of baskets with soft baby blankets, great food, and fresh water daily, and Mama Carole scoops the potty boxes twice a day. Good lady she is. :-) Even though we have all these wonderful places to sleep sometimes I still go sleep in the sinks, especially when it is warm out. Hard to break ol' habits ya' know. Still like to jump in showers too, remember that Mama Laura? :-)

I spend a lot of time playing. Ashley is more of a sitter. I must say Mama Laura that Ashley is getting Rolly Pollie! I used to get her to run and chase me by going up and licking her face and then we would take off in a scramble. Nowadays she is getting tricky! She just waits for the right moment and walks up and swings her leg over me and just SITS on me. She has me pinned! A gal pinning a boy! I can't move! Now, isn't that just too embarrassing for meows! :-)

I like to spend days playing with my toys, but the best ones are the ones nobody would probably expect. I just love to play hockey. I use mini-mellos, or jelly beans, for my pucks. I use my two paws for the hockey sticks! That is GREAT fun! If I were human I woulda' made a great hockey player! Ashley prefers twisted pipe cleaners and foil balls.

Well, I seem to be meowing off at the mouth. We just mostly wanted to say hi to let you know that we both think of you there at Purrinlot and hope you are all as happy as we are and that we love and miss all of you. I will let Ashley say the final meows.

I am happy here with my family but miss you very much. I am Carole's cuddle bug. I like to be loved and held and get I lots of that here. Ben and I will write again soon. We love you.
